United States Senate election in Iowa, 2014

The 2014 United States Senate election in Iowa was held on November 4, 2014 to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the State of Iowa. Incumbent Democratic Senator Tom Harkin did not run for re-election to a sixth term in office.
U.S. Representative Bruce Braley was unopposed for the Democratic nomination; the Republicans nominated State Senator Joni Ernst in a June 3 primary election. Douglas Butzier, who was the Libertarian nominee, died on October 14 in a single engine plane crash near Key West, Iowa.
